Treatments for Bursitis (inflammation) in the Elbow

Occasionally, the fluid sacs (bursae) that ease movement around the elbow become inflamed, causing bursitis. In a condition known as "student's elbow" the fluid sacs at the tip of the elbow become enlarged, giving rise to a small painful lump, which may restrict movement. If problematic this can be removed surgically via an olecranon bursitis excision.
